The cost of the resources is $25 per category of referrals requested. Once I receive your request, I will reach out with any questions I may have via email, send an agreement for the service, and the ability to provide payment information. Referrals can be expected within 3-5 business days. If you would like the information sooner, you can pay an addition $10 to receive these within 24 hours.

Qualifications

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor in the State of Texas, becoming a LPC Intern (now called an Associate) in 2012 and completing requirements and getting fully licensed at the end of 2013. After several years as a fully licensed LPC, I decided to seek supervisor status and gained licensure as a board approved LPC Supervisor in 2019. I also hold certification as a Nationally Certified Counselor and have had this since 2014. I have worked in a variety of settings including inpatient psychiatric hospitals, partial hospitalization programs, intensive outpatient programs, mobile crisis outreach team, community mental health agencies, as well as non-profit organizations. I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. My clinical work is focused on individual therapy with adults.

My Social Location/Orientations

I am a Latinx, neurodiverse, queer, nonbinary trans man (more specifically, bigender), and therapist. I work with folx from all walks of life and operate from a trauma informed perspective with a social justice lens and anti oppressive framework. I am also fat positive, sex positive, neurodiversity affirming, LGBTQIA+ affirming, gender affirming, poly, ethical non monogamy, and kink affirming and am allied with those engaged in sex work. I also strongly believe in harm reduction. I am a gender affirmative therapist who works from the Gender Affirmative Model. I draw from a variety of therapeutic models including dialectical behavior therapy, feminist psychotherapy theory, psychodynamic therapy, client centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, relational, motivational interviewing, parts/inner child work, and solution focused therapy.

 My Process as a Therapist

In addition to my orientations above, I tailor my approach to my client’s and consultee’s strengths. The main thing to know about my approach is that I am at the base of it all, very relational and classically Rogerian, meaning that I highly value being empathic, genuine, authentic, transparent, and congruent with my clients, as well as maintaining a stance of nonjudgement and unconditional positive regard. I believe that therapy and consultation work is a collaborative process to explore the emotions, behaviors, and thoughts that have held clients back from fully experiencing life.

Below are some of my areas of specialties within providing clinical consultation around providing psychotherapy to the trans and gender diverse community:

  • Identifying potential countertransference regarding how your own beliefs about gender may be showing up with clients.

  • Identifying the variety of nuanced ways internalized transphobia can present in both ourselves and in working with clients.

  • Assisting clients in working through guilt, shame, and doubt related to being transgender or gender diverse.

  • Meeting clients where they are at in their gender journey.

  • Assisting clients in navigating relationships in coming out.

  • Assisting clients in navigating socially and medically transitioning.

  • Training individual therapists and group practices on identifying and gathering the necessary information to provide letters of support to clients as well as having the necessary conversations related to writing letters of support for gender confirmation procedures and/or letters to the court for name and gender marker corrections.

  • And much more!

Fees

My fee for individual consultation is $165 per 50 minute consultation. I also provide trainings and general speaking on both my lived experience and clinical work with the trans and gender diverse community. I have previously presented at national conferences, for professional organizations, group practices, and individuals. My fee for groups (minimum of 5 people required) starts at $750 for a two hour presentation, training, or talk. Minimum of two hours is required however I am also happy to do longer engagements. Feedback I have received from group trainings:

“This workshop really allowed me to open myself up to the ways in which I may be causing harm in the therapy room and in the world. It allowed me to learn more about the trans and gender diverse community as well as commit to continued learning on this topic.”

“Noah provides a warm and inviting space for exploring concepts related to gender fragility. The workshop was incredibly powerful, and I learned a great deal!”

“This training challenged me to question my own beliefs around gender in a way that allowed me space to do it safely internally but also externally at times with a facilitator who fostered curiosity.”

“Noah was great. He balanced sharing personal stories, academic knowledge, and theoretical concepts beautifully and was gentle and honest with our team while exploring difficult conversations. I would highly recommend this training.”

“Noah created a safe place to address aspects gender fragility that allowed for the vulnerability needed for growth.”

“Noah helped participants vulnerably express their own gender fragility in ways some may not have imagined doing in front of others. This vulnerability will help us understand how we were socialized impacted us and how we work with those we serve.”

“Even though I went into the course a strong ally, my beliefs and my clinical approach deepened.”

“Noah is a thoughtful and well-informed presenter! Gender Fragility and the Gender Affirmative Model is a necessary training for therapists who want to quit doing harm and start creating safer, healing spaces for trans, gender diverse, and cis folks alike.”

“This training was a great introduction on understanding gender as non-binary, recognizing our own history and gender training, and identifying our biases in an open and non-judgmental format. Highly recommend!” -Kristi Baumbach, LCSW-S

“Noah's trainings are genuine, well informed, and sensitive to connect with a wide audience in a gently challenging and highly supportive fashion.”
